Torang Trust was founded in the year 2005 by the joint efforts of Dr. Ram Dayal Munda ,great tribal scholar and leader and former Vice Chancellor of Ranchi Universityand former Member of Parliament (Upper House of the Parliament of India) & the member of National Advisory Council, Dr B.P.Keshri, former professor of Ranchi University, Dr. Basavi Kiro, Journalist turned social activist and other eminent personalities of Jharkhand.
These People hold high dreams for Jharkhand and its tribal community. They were actively involved in the struggle to get Jharkhand to be recognized as a State,which finally came into existence in the year 2000. The trust, now runs under the leadership of Dr. Basavi Kiro, Mr. Basant Tirkey and Mr. Baidyanath Mandi. The school has been blessed with benign grace and blessing His Holiness Dr. Ramdayal Munda and today is governed the ideology enshrined in the Tribal Vision Program presented by the Torang Education cell.
