  • Full Shoulder Replacement:
    KGMU has successfully performed its first full shoulder replacement surgery. 
  • C-sections on Women with Eisenmenger Syndrome:
    KGMU doctors have successfully performed C-sections on pregnant women with Eisenmenger syndrome, a rare and often fatal condition, making it the first government institution in India to achieve such a survival rate. 
  • Liver Transplants:
    KGMU has successfully conducted its first liver transplant surgery since the COVID-19 outbreak. 
  • Innovative Surgical Techniques:
    KGMU doctors have also employed innovative approaches during surgery, such as temporarily halting a woman's heart during a complex procedure to ensure survival.
